SubGenre: Photoessays & Documentaries
Language: English
Pages: 140

This book is a photographic essay of the decay of a rural orphanage that has been abandoned for decades. The style of photography is best described as urban photography. The photographs were originally going to be in black and white, but changed when I saw the brilliant colors created by the style of low light photography used. An essay, authored and researched by Melissa Meldrum was added to the book to provide a brief history of the building. This allows the viewer more insight to what the photograph represents.
